The Fourth of July is Monday, July 4th. Independence Day commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. Celebrations include fireworks, family reunions, concerts, barbeques, picnics, parades, and baseball games. Do you have a specific tradition in your family to celebrate the Fourth of July?🇺🇸
I've set a Patriotic table outside today.
Join me for a yummy fruit dessert. The blueberries and strawberries were so sweet and any fruit is good with whipped cream.
Gardenias were blooming in my garden and their fragrance was heavenly.
A reticulated white tray held blue and white chinoiserie vases with red roses, gardenias, and American flags for a patriotic centerpiece. Fringed red, white, and blue stripe napkins added additional texture. For some reason, I always prefer my matelasse tablecloth.
The plate stack consisted of a white Ikea charger, solid red plate, Royal Stafford blue floral salad plate, and a vintage blue and white floral bread and butter plate.
Whatever your menu or activity, red, white, and blue celebrates July 4th! Happy Birthday, America!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

What a fun, festive table! And I love your idea of the berries and cream in those pretty glasses. I bet you could do that in Bonne Maman jars with a lid to take on a picnic (if you had a cooler so the cream didn't fail). Those roses in the blue are the perfect accompaniment!
ReplyDeleteYou are all set for the 4th Bonnie! Beautiful table and the red roses in the blue and white vase look gorgeous! Your dessert is very eye catching too, and the perfect ending for a summer meal. I hope you're having a lovely summer, it sure is a hot one!

ReplyDeleteBonnie, every table setting you share is festive and welcoming, but my patriotic heart loves the red, white, and blue. I love to use my Chinoiserie blue and white vases for summer tables too. Adding in red, white, and blue flowers with small flags tucked in makes a beautiful statement. Your berry dessert looks delicious and such a fresh, light dessert is perfect for our hot summer temps. Wishing you a festive and Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteLove this, Bonnie. From the plate stack to the dessert on top, it's beautifully simple and elegant too.

DeleteBonnie, your table is so festive and patriotic. It is hard to believe July 4th is just around the corner. I love your dessert. Strawberries and blueberries together are a winning combination in my book. With a little whipped cream or ice cream makes an award winning dessert. Wishing you a wonderful week and a Happy Fourth of July!
ReplyDeleteYour patriotic table setting is so lovely Bonnie. I love mixing red, white and blue for a treat during the holiday. I made one last night and will for the Fourth. We usually have a crowded patio to celebrate but not this year, just for two. Normally we bbq ribs and all the trimmings. Same this year just on a smaller scale. Happy Fourth of July Bonnie...
ReplyDeleteYour table is just beautiful and so festive for July 4th. We most often are low key for the 4th and Marty and I will grill a steak or we toss something on the smoker. I hope that you enjoy your 4th and Happy July to you Bonnie. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteOh what a lovely table Bonnie - you do such amazing things with dishes! I love your tablecloth too - I can see why you prefer it. :) Hope you're enjoying your summer!
