The moon is mesmerizing! I especially love full moons and can't get enough of them. I get goose bumps thinking of where I was in this photo looking onto the roman forum in Rome. To be in that spot so rich in history with a gorgeous moon was exciting. I feel so close to God when I see the moon wherever I am. Join me as I share several moon shots I've collected the last few years in various places.
Psalm 19:1-4 says,
The heavens declare the glory of God ; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth their words to the ends of the world.
A beautiful full moon in my own backyard in
Alabama during the blue hour.
An early morning moon with the sun beginning to rise in my backyard. I'm an early riser and I usually check out the moon when it's in view.
Early morning from my front yard. There are fewer trees in my front yard so it is much easier to see the moon.
I do have a love affair with the moon. Here it is in all it's beauty in Sorrento, Italy. We had dinner on the wharf there and I was thrilled to photograph the moon rising over the city and illuminating the water.
An evening in Paris from the Eiffel Tower viewing the city lit by the gorgeous full moon.
The moon over Paris was enchanting.
Crescent moons are pretty too.
I'm drawn to the moon and my family knows how much I love it. It is such a visible promise of God's faithfulness and that He is in control.

So many lovely photos of the moon. The ones with the ruins makes us realize just how timeless they are and that the moon will always be there shining her noctural light.
ReplyDeleteMe. too, Bonnie. I have been fascinated by the moon since I was a little kid. When I was little I was SURE there was a man in the moon and I would often talk to him when I walked between the house and barn on the farm. Great shots you have here. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Bonnie, especially those in Paris - fantastic! I'm an early riser also, and love seeing the moon and the sun both in the sky, not a common occurrence. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteBonnie, what beautiful shots that you have captured. That photo from the Eiffel Tower is beautiful, you should frame it. We love to check out the moon, Butch often calls me outside to view. One only has to look up to see God's handiwork...thanks for sharing these gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteThese are magnificent -- a good eye for you and good camera, too, I think. No grain in these night shots!
ReplyDeleteI love the moon as well but my favorite moment was last summer at Martha's Vineyard. We got off the ferry from Nantucket and were waiting for the fireworks to begin. The moon is in the sky as large and as round and as golden as any I've ever seen. It reminded me of the song "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie" or those man-in-the-moon faces. We couldn't take our eyes away.
Bonnie, what beautiful photographs. I love looking at the moon. We can usually see it from our living room windows. I always call the kids to see it. There is just something so special about it. It always mesmerizes me!
ReplyDeleteSweet Bonnie, your photos took my breath away! Truly stunning, my friend. Thank you ever so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMay you have a blessed week. Hugs!
Like you, I'm crazy for beautiful moons, especially when we overnight on the boat and the moon is bright in the sky and bounces off the water.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post Bonnie! How incredible to have photos of those beautiful moons in Europe. I have seen some spectacular moons this year, one very recently that the local news was calling a snow moon. I had never heard that term before and it was so spectacular I had to pull to the edge of the road and just stare at it for a while because I could barely take my eyes off it while driving! The moon does make me feel that there is still peace in this world...
