Camellia Love

Camellias are blooming in my garden. The luscious blooms of camellias are beautiful to me. I've cut some  blossoms to share with you today from my garden and pulled out some camellia pictures from my archives too.

My daughter made this pic in my garden. I've always loved this picture very much. Amazing Grace was the name of her blog some years back. 

Here, I'm copying her idea to adorn the statuaries.

Sometimes it works out camellias are blooming when you have an occasion as I did in this pic. This arrangement was fun to do.


A single camellia in a vase makes a statement.


No skill in arranging in this vase but various colors, textures and varieties of flowers make an impact.


I hosted a Creme Tea for friends here and used camellias several ways.


 A tea tray was styled using white by the gate camellias in small vases for the guest room one weekend when my daughter was home. I wanted her to feel special and I think she did.


 Here is another vignette with a small vase of camellias. I'm always looking for vases that don't require a lot of flowers. I shared this pic on Instagram recently.  Instagram is so much fun because it is quick and easy.


I also shared this dressing table vignette on Instagram last week. Seeing it large here makes me realize my eyes are not so good. On my phone I didn't notice the brown spots on the camellia. Lol!

    I love, love Camellias! You know my daughter lived in Northern California for 2 years and every time I visited her I fell in love with these delicate, colorful, charming and darling flowers over and over again. You have incorporated them into your lovely home in the loveliest of ways!

    Beautiful Bonnie! I love camellias, especially the striped ones- unfortunately, we lost about 5 bushes in the drought this fall, so sad! I love the statuary wearing the blooms :)

    Oh my goodness, your camellias are so beautiful! I need to investigate whether or not they will grow here in Texas. You have displayed them so beautifully! I wish I could find a gardening club like the one you are in. Maybe Jemma and I need to start one. :)

    I, too, love camellias. There's one in the yard and while I don't think the bush/tree is very pretty I'm happy when it is blooming and wish it had a longer blooming season.

    Oh Bonnie.
    Your camellias are so beautiful. The pictures make me think I need to add some more varieties to my own garden. My Grandmother grew prize winning camellias and even hybridized some. She was a true Master gardener and way before her time in lots of her gardening practices. Camellias always remind me of her..and of you too..

    Gorgeous Bonnie! I adore the statuary with the blooms and the variety of camellias you have! I tell myself every year that I'm going to plant some and never get around to it, I need to make that happen. I don't think I've ever seen camellias paired with Queen Anne's Lace since they bloom such different times of the year, what a pretty combination. ♥

    Bonnie, your camellias are stunning...I particularly love the peppermint. The camellias adorning the statuaries are breath-taking...what a great idea your daughter had! I have never had any success with camellias, they look healthy but never produce blooms! I love every vignette using your camellias...so Southern and charming'

    Bonnie, these are gorgeous blooms! You must have the perfect climate for them. Camellias are one of those flowering shrubs that can be very temperamental in our region. I have wanted to try them, but have a neighbor and sister who both lost theirs with a couple of past bitter winter snaps. I have a brick wall enclosing my landscape which may prove to be protection needed, not sure. Camellias were also the signature flower of Coco Chanel. :)
    If you ever mentioned it before, it must have been an oversight on my part, but I see you have the season statue of winter in your garden as I have! I was lucky to have found all 4 of the seasons in a local antique shop several years ago and snapped them up for my garden.
    These photos here are all outstanding with your camellias. They caught my eye at a couple link parties too.

    Hello dear Bonnie, I love camellias and wish I could grow them. I have a new one and have my fingers crossed it will thrive this time. Your statuary and camellias are lovely, beautiful photos. Lovely arrangement on the coffee table and yes, one camellia makes a beautiful statement. I always love seeing snippets of your home, it is beautifully decorated.

    Bonnie, the camellias are beautiful, but it is your creativity that makes them such a treat for us (and your family and friends). Thank you so much for your sweet, sweet comment. I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things. LOL! Your garden is always so inspiring. The house we are in now has a huge yard that was just let go. I'm going to need lots more inspiration!     Your camellias are stunning, Bonnie. I love the peppermint variety! We have the sasanqua camellias in front and back, but they didn't bloom much this year, probably because of the drought. I would love to grow more varieties. Maybe we should replace some of the hydrangeas we've lost with camellias! LOVE this post! I love how the camellias are displayed in your home.
