Join me for a candlelight dinner by the fire.
A cozy fire and candlelight sets the mood doesn't it?
If there is a time for a special table it is Valentine's Day!
Flowers from my garden are especially nice this year because we just had an ice storm.
Eschenbach china (Bavaria), stems and napkin rings Pier 1, chargers Wal- Mart, napkins from the Philippines years ago, vintage english fish knife ( Spence Collection-Scotts Antique Market) Buttercup by Gorham sterling, candle holders (various gift shops).

ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a lovely dinner! xx
ReplyDelete100% fabulous!!! I swear I could almost hear Barry White in the background! :-) The napkin rings are really, really pretty. They remind me of pomegranate seeds which I find to be one of God's little miracles. The flatware is gorgeous, too! I miss the days when people used things like fish forks and such on a regular basis! Let's bring a little "Downton Abbey" back to our tables!!!
ReplyDeleteVery romantic and pretty! I hope you and your sweetie pie have a wonderful and memorable Valentine's Day. Bye!!
What an elegant and gorgeous Valentine's table sweet Bonnie! Love the napking rings and all the small votives, it sure puts me in the mood for love. I too love Narry White andf have great memories when I hear him singing. Your flatware is lovely too...everything is my friend. Happy Valentine's to you too!

ReplyDeleteWhat an elegant, romantic and intimate table! And being by the fireplace just adds to the wonderful ambiance,...Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely, Bonnie. I'm going to be away on Valentine's so tonight I will fix the traditional veal chop for the hubby, and you've given me inspiration to make the table for two a little something special.
ReplyDeleteA truly lovely, warm and welcoming table. Your china is gorgeous and you've set such a pretty picture for Valentine's. Bravo!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

Oh my goodness Bonnie, this is GORGEOUS!!! I love every single thing on this table! I think this is one of my favorites that you've done. The plates are beautiful, and so is the red stemware. All the lovely votive holders and candles make the silver sparkle -- this is truly an elegant table. I love that you have some camellias (no doubt from your garden) to add that perfect touch of red. Such a romantic table for Valentine's Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Bonnie. I'm glad I stopped back by; I thought I had already looked at this and left a comment, but this is the first time I've seen it. Are you all under the winter storm warning like the rest of us? Stay warm and safe. :)
Hugs,
Denise
This is so romantic and beautiful. Love those red flutes and those great napkin rings. What a sweet little basket of roses. Thank you for linking to my party. Happy Valentine's Day! laurie
ReplyDeleteI love this!! Really, it's just beautiful to me. I wasn't planning to do a table for two for tonight. We were thinking about going out instead. Now, you make me want to do one. The burning question is, in the middle of this ice storm clean up, do I even have the time?
ReplyDeleteHello Bonnie, thank you for your lovely message, it is good to be back in the land of the living! I did make the moss wreath. I usually have a wreath on the door at Christmas, but didn't get one made this year, so I have a Valentine's one instead. Have a happy Sunday, love Linda x
ReplyDeleteLove your Valentine tablescape!!!!!! It is so creative and romantic.......
