I hosted my Garden Club this week in my home.
This is my Martha Stewart copper heart from years ago filled with camellias.
Before our meeting began we enjoyed eating and fellowship together. We had seven layer chocolate cake, strawberries, chicken salad sandwiches cut in heart shapes, grape clusters and mixed nuts.
One of my co-hostesses surprised me with flowering cherry branches.
I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into our February meeting. Daffodil Garden Club is affiliated with the Garden Club of Alabama, Inc. and the National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc.

Hi Bonnie, All of your flowers are making my heart sing! I love all of your special touches, the single stem display, the copper bowl, and the candle in the hearts. The menu is making me hungry and sounds so delicious. Looks like you had a very happy group and great meeting. I’m sure your guests enjoyed your lovely luncheon. Hope you are warm and cozy this evening..............
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine’s Day.
Everything looks wonderful! The flowers, your home, the food, and all the friends are perfect for a cold winter day. I would love to be in a garden club but our little town doesn't have one.
ReplyDeleteThe camellias are beautiful and I love seeing the forced cherry branches Bonnie! Such cheerful color in winter-enjoy:@)
ReplyDeleteThose camellias remind me of our Charleston years. We had such lovely February blooms. Alas, not here in the frigid and snow-covered midwest.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
What a lovely party - and a garden club has to really be something special. Wow - so well done!!
ReplyDeleteEveryone looks so beautiful in their red outfits! How fun to have it close to Valentine's and the food looks and sounds wonderful. How fabulous that you have this fun group. The camellias are stunning and I love how you presented them!
ReplyDeleteIt all looked lovely and so nice to be treated to some views of your beautiful home as well. It looks as though you had a lovely evening! Your bowl of cyclamen is delightful and made a beautiful centrepiece for your table! xx
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed seeing the photos of your garden club meeting. Gorgeous centerpiece with the cyclamens.
ReplyDeleteWhat lucky ladies Bonnie! Not only do they get treated to your lovely home, beautiful displays and flowers, but wonderful food too. I love your little posy holder in the first picture. Much love to you, Linda x
ReplyDeleteOh how I was taken back to when I lived in Georgia. I SO miss the lovely camellia's! Thank you for a wonderful memory.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Valentine's Day!
Oh, how lovely! I haven't visited for a while but your page always makes me smile...:)
ReplyDeleteWow, Bonnie...you must have really been angling to bring your A-game, girl! This is fantastic! I'm sure the ladies were super honored that you went through so much to create such a beautiful setting for them. AND such great food!!! Kudos to the lady who brought the flowering cherry branches! LOVE 'EM!!!
ReplyDeleteThis honestly puts me back in the entertaining mood!!!
Beautiful, gracious, full of Southern charm... {sigh} I know your friends enjoyed the treat of meeting at your gorgeous home, Bonnie. Love the camellias and cherry blossoms! Thank you for sharing. Sure makes me wish I had been there. ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteIt's all beautiful and appointed exactly the (gracious) way I think things ought to be done. I fear that the current generation (Yes, I sound old to myself too...) doesn't really appreciate doing things this way. I'm trying so very hard to instill it in my daughters the way my mom did with me.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite part is the cherry blossom sprig that you got from the friend. I have never been able to capture them so beautifully in person or in photograph. The color is stunning to me.
(On an aside, can I just say that I love your dining room? That is the prettiest shade on the wall. I've been struggling with shades lately so I noticed it. Kind of a snickerdoodle color, I think. Random, I know, but I love it. )
That looks like a lot of fun. Your home is just beautiful!!! I've never gotten a chance to see it like that before. Looks like you had a good turn out.
ReplyDeleteEverything looked so beautiful! I'm sorry I missed the meeting. Loved the camellias in the heart-shaped container!! I know my camellias must have frozen - was not home to cover them up. The pictures of your home looked so festive - decorating for Valentine's Day is so much fun! Maxine
ReplyDeleteI don't know why my comment read that it was from John Moates. It was from me. How can I change it? Maxine Moates
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie! Have missed talking to you. Love your post. Your meeting looks like a huge success. Everything is so beautiful just like my friend.
ReplyDeleteBonnie - I know your guests felt so special with the way that you welcomed them, especially with the flowers. I loved all of the arrangements, but what could be more southern, than those gorgeous Camellias???? Your dining room looked beautiful, too!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful event! All of your pieces look outstanding.
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you at Seasonal Sundays.

Hi Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love about this post? You've shown us beautiful flowers, a gracious setting, and delicious food! You did a lovely luncheon and Garden Club meeting, Bonnie, and I felt like we were there in person. Your home really is beautiful!! I love all the pretty mirrors, plates, and pictures on the walls; it's elegant, but also looks comfortable.
This post really makes me wish I had Camellia bushes; I especially love the pale pink, variegated blooms. They remind me of candy somehow. Your cyclamen is gorgeous -- one of my favorite flowers this time of the year. I'd love to know what the white flowers are; they remind me of Queen Anne's Lace.
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us, Bonnie; you really know how to host a gracious luncheon. I hope you have a wonderful week. :)
Hugs to you,
Denise
Hi Bonnie, Everything looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting me via Laura's blog. Hope the tips will be useful to you.
Have a nice weekend.
Mildred
What gorgeous Camellias Bonnie! I love the variety and they are beautiful floating in a bowl! Ours are behind this year with our colder than normal temps. I'd love to be gifted with some flowering cherry branches. There is a tree lined entrance to a business park that puts on a beautiful display every year, I'm always tempted to stop and do some stealthy pruning :)
