This is not last night's moon because my camera flash is not working. This is a moon shot last Easter. It is not a good picture at all and I would LOVE to learn more about shooting the moon. Just wanted to share with everyone that was busy and didn't see the moon and might want to tonight.
The Heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. Psalm 19: 1-4

I woke up about 2:30 a.m. - bathroom time and I thought that I had left a light on, but it was a beautiful moon lighting up my bedroom. It was simply stunning - I had wanted to go outside and sit on the patio but it was to chilly and I was afraid that I would never get back to sleep.
ReplyDeleteGet picture.

Oh, I did see it, Bonnie!! It was spectacular! Such a gift from our Heavenly Father. I delight in it!
ReplyDeleteI am still going to have to investigate photography classes... maybe we could find one online and take together!! Then Skype to figure it out. It will be awhile for me though... we have another contract on the house and things are hitting the frenzied state again.

Yes, and tonight may be the last for an almost full moon. It's hard to photo the night sky without a very good lens.
ReplyDeleteThere was something about that moon, wasn't it? I didn't see it until this morning around 6:30 as I was headed to PT. I was driving along and got hit right in the eye with it. Gorgeous! Reminds me of that moon in the Cher/Nicholas Cage movie "Moonstruck". :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know what, I did notice the beautiful full moon the last couple of nights. I tried to get a good picture of it too but it didn't turn out so well either. I never knew there was a trick to getting a good shot of it. I actually prefer when we don't have a full moon though because I have trouble sleeping sometimes when it's so bright. It finds a way to light up the house through other uncovered windows.
ReplyDeleteI loved looking at the moon and stars, Bonnie! My hubby and I took an astronomy class several years ago. My husband had bought a large telescope (used) and a smaller new one, and we did try some amateur astronomy for several years. It was fun. Unfortunately, the skies are usually clearer in the winter months, and it's often too cold to be outside fiddling with a telescope.
ReplyDeleteWe saw a great, big orange moon just as it was rising last week; it was either Thursday or Friday night (I think Thursday). It was just beautiful!
