Vignettes from Virginia

My daughter-in-law's parents home in Virginia should be on the tour of homes. Everywhere you look are lovely and interesting vignettes. I couldn't resist snapping pictures to share with you. They are not the best photographs because we were talking and visiting but I know you will enjoy Johanna's creative flair and great eye. So many antique and vintage things that add so much charm and richness. There are toys in the background and nothing was staged- just as it was with a house full of company and a baby playing!

I don't mind slipping in another shot of our little grandson even if he had a runny nose.

Johanna, don't kill me about the pantry shot but you looked so cute in your "red cowgirl boots."  Anyway, your pantry was impressively organized too! Thank you Joe and Johanna for a wonderful visit. We had so much fun! There was never a dull moment and we talked and talked. Wouldn't you love to see their home decorated for Christmas?

After being gone for seven days I am very busy catching up. If I have not visited your blog I will as soon as I can. How does everyone keep up?

  11. Hi Bonnie,

I know what you mean about trying to keep up with life and blogging, it can be difficult!
I feel guilty if I don't visit my blog friends for a few days, but sometimes it is just so difficult to fit everything in!

Your little grandson is adorable and your inlaws have a wonderful home,
    I love the photos.

Hope all is well with you and that you
are getting better weather than us here in Ireland,
    wet, windy and awful.

    Almost the weekend, yippee!!

  12. You have certainly mastered the art of photography and you are right, that home should be on a tour or in a magazine! So many interesting pieces all put together just perfectly. And what a cutie pie that little grand of yours is! I'm a new fan (& follower) of your lovely blog.
