Casual lunch on my back porch.
Our local Farmer's Market has had wonderful tomatoes this summer. With homemade bread my tomato sandwich made a nice lunch on my back porch. Of course, the ceiling fans were a must.
I am joining Susan for Tablescape Thursday. It is always fun to see all the creative tablescapes.
Hi there! I think this is the first opportunity I've had to visit your blog. What a nice, serene setting for your lunch! Very calming. And your Mom MADE that pitcher??!?!!! Quite talented indeed!!! I think it is so cool that you live in a "small town" where things are undoubtedly quiet and peaceful and run at a much more relaxed pace. I'll just bet when you look around you that you are able to pull all sorts of inspiration from your surroundings! I enjoyed your luncheon display. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Bonnie, your mum made the jug, that's amazing. Loving the green glasses again! Have a lovely weekend, love Linda x
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat jug your Mom made. Looks like a nice cool setting for lunch!
ReplyDeleteOh I love tomato sandwiches too. This is such a lovely setting and lunch looks perfect. The pitcher is gorgeous, such a beautiful treasure. Yes, I have to have the ceiling fan on the patio going all the time. Otherwise it is just too hot to be out there. Thanks for stopping by, I always enjoy the visit. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHow perfect--a beautiful and super yummy lunch!! What a gorgeous pitcher!@!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind comment. I don't know what I can teach, but I will try my best...one of my majors (that's a long story) was visual arts/film so I studied images a lot. But as a writer (one of my other majors/my Masters) I think about details and hope to conjure them up when I write. I think when I take photographs I'm "seeing" as if I'm writing and wanting to see/capture the details of things, not always the "big picture," pun intended.
But....my visual arts studies were 20 years ago...and back then we actually cut film and cropped by hand.
I still have so much to learn with this digital world we're in.
It's humbling.
But I LOVE taking photographs. And I will gladly share what little I know.
We'll be home soon!!!
Can't wait to meet you/hug you in person as I feel like I've known you forever/you're a long lost sister!!
Many blessings/Happy Sunday,
Lana

Tomatoes in season from the farmers market are one of summer's simple pleasures! What a wonderful place for lunch~ it is WAY to hot for us on our porch right now, even with ceiling fans! Love the ceramic pitcher your mom made~ it looks great with your basket cloche!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your pictures from France. Your comments about what was going on during your vacation really made a great story. Cousin Becky
