Plates- Johnson Brothers, Sterling-Buttercup by Gorham, Glasses- from the 70's, Faux Cabbage leaf placemats from local gift shop, ceramic tureen was painted by my mother, matelasse bedspread used as a tablecloth, rabbit salt and pepper shakers I have had a long time and can't remember where I bought them. Guess what I forgot? I do have napkins but I forgot them. Visualize a white napkin tied with raffia to finish off the tablesetting.
I love white dishes because you can change the look so easily and I have loved them for 39 years. Of course, some have yellowed and cracked . I have replaced four plates from Replacements LTD.

Hello there sweet lady,
ReplyDeleteHere I am back again once more..,Thanks for visiting my blog;(I am beginning to experience renewed strength by the grace of God).
(I see that my original message re-appeared; it must have taken a few moment 'to cache through' with blogger)..,
With reference to your query; yes we do do serve quite and elaborate, Afternoon Tea at our Bed and Breakfast, by appointment. Yet whereas I see that you are located in lovely Albama, most likely this would be too far away for you to partake; I only wish we were not so far away as I would love to have you come for tea my dear!
We are located and hour away from Boston Mass., via plane, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
~Here is our web address however, as you just never know when you may perhaps decide to visit our lovely coastal province in Canada one day: www.blueforest.ca ~ (Please turn on your speaker and enjoy our lovely harp musuc as well)!..,
..,(Incidentally, we are experiencing a very early Spring and our beautiful Victorian, 'Halifax Public Gardens' will be opening two weeks early, which has never happened previously to my knowledge)!..,
Also a further aside, my sister and her family lived in Mississippi for several years, also my hubby and I used to exhibit in Atlanta, Georgia for many years at the Giftmart, with my wholesale, 'Wanda Lee and Company' line of artcards and prints where we had a showroom, seven years ago)..,
Blessings and hugs from Wanda Lee

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my tablescape this week -- I can see from looking back through your blog we have very similar tastes in decor and are at very similar points in live. It's so nice to meet you -- aren't blogging friendships wonderful -- I've met so many gracious people. It looks like from your sidebar I see a wonderful trip to Paris! And I have four granddaughters -- aren't grandchildren a wonderful blessing? Thanks again for stopping by.

Thanks for coming by my blog.
Hey, Bonnie, so you haven't updated since Easter?! Thanks for telling me that story about Sally Ann's. That is TOO funny.
ReplyDeleteHi, I missed you post last week. But I want to tell you, I love your bunnies with the cabbage leafs. So cute. I like this cabbage design of the pretty tureen and the placemats and the green goblets are really beautiful. Because you have choosen only cabbage green as color, it looks really calming and nice.
